5.0 out of 5 stars The Steam Room Diaries – Four Thumbs Up!

We read this book together as a sort of husband and wife micro book club. Some days we laughed out loud, other days we shed a tear, and often had “Oh wow!” moments. We came to know the characters as friends in the steam room. By the end of the book we found ourselves wanting more. It is a reminder that our spirit can be moved by the seemingly most ordinary moments of our lives. We highly recommend this novel.

A journey into the spiritual with an unlikely narrator, in a yet more unlikely place. The characters fairly leap off the pages and into your heart. A thundering good read. Hope to see more from this Author.

5.0 out of 5 stars Extremely thought provoking, gently probing, humorously presented.

I want more from Mr. Miller. I’ve never been to a steam room, but I have known all of the characters in this one, or at least their characteristics. I want to hang out with the (mostly) impartial narrator. Many of his phrases are more poetry than narrative.

Sermons, and preaching as an art, are not for dispensing content or proclaiming doctrines and dogma. Like poetry, prose, and music, they are for provoking and inspiring thought, memory, and imagination within those receiving them. Please allow your thoughts to wander as they will in response to what you hear, rather than following along word for word.
