Donald Trump is a fool, literally, and David Brooks has described it exquisitely. (His article also points to a prominent theme of subversivepreacher, which is that a vibrant and eclectic movement called Christianity was melted down and poured into a singular mold by imperial religion).
THE PLEDGE: At this point there seems to be little correlation between what Trump says and legislation or policy implementation, given that he has said so many and contradictory things. I am going to take my eyes and ears off what he says and how he says it. His practice of distraction is the most ferocious deception in a massive repertoire of deciet.
So instead, my focus will be on what he and his imps in the federal and state legislatures do. Besides, what could be more tortorous to Trump than the thought no one was listening?
Please read David Brooks’ very fine column.
